PREPARATION
HOW TO PREPARE TART CRUST
1.
Follow the steps in the dependent recipe to prepare the tart dough.
2.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
PREPARING THE FILLING
3.
In a food processor, mix cream cheese and butter until smooth.
4.
Add the onion, garlic, mustard, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
ASSEMBLING THE TARTLETS
5.
In a small muffin tin (24 slots), lightly coat each slot with olive oil spray. Evenly distribute the tart crust into each muffin slot and puncture the bottoms a few times with a fork.
6.
Add the mustard cheese mixture to either a piping bag or a ziplock bag and cut the tip.
7.
Pipe the mixture evenly into each tartlet crust.
BAKING THE TARTLETS
8.
Place the muffin tin into the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tart crust is completely done.
9.
Once removed from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes and then remove the tartlets to a plate.
10.
Top each tartlet with 1-2 bite size pieces of smoked salmon and serve.
